Many people feel that Windows startup is gradually getting late as compared with time when first installing Windows on the PC.
One cause is that as you install Windows applications, installing various applications such as games, image processing, and e-mails, Windows is slower and has a long time to prepare before doing something.
The first possible way to speed up Windows startup as quickly as possible is to control Windows Startup program that runs after logging in Windows. We expect you to speed up Windows to removing unnecessary programs from Startup Program item.
Task Manager displays details such as programs, processes, and services running on your computer.
You can use Task Manager to monitor the performance of your computer and to quit a program that does not move freezing in use.
Starting task manager
▼ There are several ways to start the Task Manager. First, right-click on 1or 2Taskbar and click Task Manager.
▼ Second, presskeys, click 1Task Manager.
▼ Or, presskeys, click 1Task Manager.
▼ You can also open Task Manager in the Search Box. Enter 1task, and click 2Task Manager from search results.
▼ As below, presskey to open Run, and enter 1taskmgr. Click 2 button.
Windows has two startup folder locations. There are folder paths that apply to all user accounts and only to the current user account. First, The path where the startup folder applied to all users is stored is as follows.
To quick access Startup Folder for All Users, enter 1shell:startup in text box of Run. Click 2button.
▼ In the case of User currently logged in, Startup list is stored in the following folder.
C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
To quick access Startup Folder for Current User, enter 1shell:common startup in text box of Run. Click 2button.
▼ Because 1ProgramData folder is a hidden folder, you can see it by checking View > 2hidden item on Windows File Explorer as shown below.
To add a program to startup just, open the above startup folder for current user folder and specify the shortcut of the program you want to start up as shown below. Right-click in blank space and 1New > Shortcut, for example, text document.
▼ Then you can see that 1it has been added to the Startup item of Task Manager as shown below.
To delete it, select shortcut from the above Startup folder and presskey on the keyboard. It will also disappear from the Startup item in Task Manager.
Then, it is easy to stop unnecessary programs from Startup. Simply right-click on the program you want to disable and select 1, or button.
If you restart Windows this way, the disabled startup application will not be runned, so it will take a little more time to Windows startup.
If you want to start the disabled startup program again, right-click on the program and select 1Enable orbutton.
