System Restore automatically creates a restore point before the following events.
1. Application install. If the application install causes system problems, you can restore the system to a state before the application install.
2. Windows Update installation. After downloading the update files, you can install the update on the system. System Restore creates a restore point before the installation of the update begins.
System Restore affects Windows system files, installed applications, registry info, but does not affect personal data files such as documents, images, mail, etc.
As mentioned above, System Restore can be configured to create restore points at regular intervals. System restore points are automatically created, but also you can create and name them manually at any time through the System Restore user interface.
Create a restore point

Checking restore points
If you have a problem with system of the PC, you can restore it to any previous point time when your system was operating normally.
As mentioned, System Restore does not affect data such as documents or images, email. However, if you perform a system restore based on the time when created the “restore point”, the application or driver installed after creating the restore point may be deleted or unusable.
In this case, you must reinstall the system, so carefully consider this before performing a system restore.
