You can use the search tool to find what you need in a large number of files. Indexing allows you to perform searches quickly. But, it is an unnecessary tool for users who do not use any search tools at all.
Here shows how to Invalidate Windows Search index. Note that this search function is used by the index information service, but if you disable it, it may also affect other tools on Windows10.
Of course, users who are using file search frequently are still OK.
To disable Windows Search
To disable it, start “service” which is one of Windows management tools.
Getting started from the control panel
▼ As below, presskey to open Run, and enter 1control or C:\Windows\System32\control.exe in the text box. Click 2 button.

▼ As shown below, Presskey and open Run. Enter 1services.msc in the text field, and click 2 button.
▼ Windows Search is a function that indexes and searches files or E-mail data such as Outlook, and finds items directly on PC. Right-click on “Windows Search“, and click 1“Properties” button. Or double-click it.
▼ On the General tab, select 1Startup type: Disabled, and click 2button.
The settings are finished. Restart the PC to apply the settings.
