Adding Hibernate

Hibernate mode saves the current programs and documents to the hard disk’s storage device, and turns off the power of the PC in the state of the application or document being used.

Power consumption is lower than Sleep(power saving), when pressing the power button on the PC, the PC will start again immediately.

Normally, Sleep is that the PC will be turned on with the left mouse click, but the power button must be pressed for Hibernate. Hibernate, it can be said to be a state between slip and shutdown (power off).

In Windows 10, Hibernate is not displayed in the “Power” menu by default. To display “Hibernate”, you need to change the setting of Power Options as described below.

Hibernate is recommended, mainly for laptops using batteries. While Sleep saves the work in memory and uses a small amount of power, the hibernate is the lowest power option.

Hybrid sleep

Hybrid sleep” is a combination of “sleep” which saves working documents and applications in memory, and “Hibernate” which is stored on the hard disk, and is implemented on Windows Vista or later.

It is a low power state so that allows you to resume PC immediately. By coping with the state of these two power supplies at the same time, even if the power suddenly turned off, Windows can restore work from the hard disk.

It is suitable for desktop PC. Usually, the hybrid sleep function is “ON” by default. You can check the state of hybrid sleep from the Advanced settings of Power Options. Click 1Change advanced power settings as below.
