Rewriting user ID

▼　Now, here open the 1“C:\Windows\Temp\gpedit\” folder. From the folders shown below, we will edit the 2x64.bat file on a 64-bit system on PC

▼　1right-click x64.bat file and click 2Edit on the context menu.

▼　x64.bat file is executed in Notepad, and the contents of the following file are displayed. There are six 1%username%as below, we’ll rewrite it to the current PC username.

▼　For example, if your username is “MIK“, you can edit all 6 places to 1“%MIK%”. By pressing Ctrl + S, you can 2Save it.

Check your user ID

▼　As shown below, press Windows + R to open the Run window. Entering 1cmd in the text field, and then click 2OK button.

▼ The following command prompt window opens. You can check the 1user ID.

Run as administrator

▼　Right-click the 1x64.bat file where the user ID is edited, and click 2“Run as administrator“.

▼　The User Account Control(UAC) appears to allow you to run the command prompt as administrator. Click the 1Yes button.

▼　The result is that the command is executed at the command prompt as shown below, and exits immediately.

▼　Finally, the last step. Run the 1“installer.exe” in the same “C:\Windows\Temp\gpedit\” folder. 1Right-click the file and click ” 2“Run as administrator” as above.

▼　As with the above command prompt, the command is executed and exits immediately. Now you’re done.

Starting the Local Group Policy Editor

▼　Then, let’s start the Local Group Policy Editor. This time, Entering 1“gpedit.msc” in the Windows Search box, and click 2“gpedit.msc“.

▼　The local Group Policy Editor runs as shown below. Now you can do your usual work.
